Art space and creative playground now open in downtown Durham!
Nearly a century ago, this warehouse complex housed giant coolers for fruits and veggies arriving by train. Today we have 22,000sf dedicated to making and experiencing visual and performing arts that include film, dance, painting, photography, and drama. We love hosting alternative and emerging artists among world class artists.
At present, the Georges Rousse "Blue Room" and "Dream Room" are our sole art installations.
Hours: We are open during performance times and announced gallery openings, and by appointment.
Location/Parking: tons of free parking across the street at the County Health Department on evenings and weekends (thanks Commissioners!) Find us at the intersection of Dillard and Ramseur, near Durham Cider Works and before Ponysaurus, about four blocks east of DPAC and American Tobacco.
Please contact Tim Walter for information about daily studio rentals for film or photography, receptions, dances, or booking an exhibit or performance.
Money spent here recirculates to benefit the art scene in the region. Thanks!
